In 2013 we unintentionally began converting our small plot of land into a food producing, soil-building farmlet. Our first raised bed in the backyard nurtured a small tomato crop well into the fall. It went well, but we knew the real game was out front where the sun was strongest. So, without a care we tore up half of our front lawn to grow food. Soon after, another plot in the front and one on the side took us up to four.

We've grown with the farm in the process, and it's gone really well. Eight foot high tomato plants, twenty pound pumpkins, rye grass taller than our five year old, asparagus for three, and so much more. Composting earthworms, rain barrels, and year-round mulching complete the laboratory.

And now we're tapping our network of Virginia farms to bring you our latest farm-inspired products. Soaps inspired by grazing, Earth-healing animals stewarded by the next generation of small farmers. Our soaps are clean and untainted by unpronounceable ingredients that litter the chemical-bars sold in stores. We scent them only with the highest quality essential oils and absolutely no colorants or unnecessary additives.

Our Forest and Pasture bars are specifically designed to showcase the partnership with our farm friends. Our Grove bar highlights the time-tested recipe of natural castile soap. No matter which you choose, each of our recipes intends to make your transition to artisan soap an easy one.
